Rail Vision optimises its reporting output to serve end-user requirements. Our software systems produce the following information based on visual, geometry and profiling measurements. EVI Reporting software consists of a desktop based interface that is capable of displaying analysis results, plotting defects on images and showing location, and generating a wide variety of reports. EVI Reporting Plus software has a number of statistical tools built in that allow for information clustering, trend analysis, failure analysis and information fusion based capability by allowing ultrasonics, geometry and profiling third party exceptions to be imported and aligned by location. It also provide a validation tool for setting priorities on defects and use of a GIS map for plotting defects and understanding spatial properties of defect clusters.

The reports contain the following information:

  • Analysis date
  • Location indexed register of assets
  • Asset dimensions
  • A photograph of asset found
  • The reports can import information from other sources as needed

  • Visual defects found (e.g. missing clips, rail surface defects, etc.)
  • Temporary features (e.g. weld clamps, crossings etc.)
  • Geometry and profile exceptions and track images
  • Location of defects (e.g. GPS)
  • Defect dimensions (area, height, width, etc.)
  • A photograph of defect found

  • Dates of two runs
  • Run on run analysis- comparison of two runs shows things that were found in one run and not in the other (e.g. Squat in run2 only and not run1, or geometry exception in second run but not in the first)
  • A photograph of exception found
